To coincide with the release of the first World Of Warriors fiction book – A New Hero – a trailer has been posted online to give you a flavour of what you can expect from the story.
The book – which you can buy here – is written by Curtis Jobling, best known as the designer of Bob The Builder and creator of Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, whilst the trailer is voiced by The Chronicles of Narnia actor, Ben Barnes.
Here is a transcript of the trailer:
Boneshaker casts a long shadow over the Wildlands. There are few places his darkness hasn’t reached. Many cities and free people have been enslaved, falling under his thrall. Those who fight back have been killed, crushed or gone into hiding. Trick Hope must save the Wildlands from Boneshaker and his Skull Army. The stakes couldn’t be higher. If Trick doesn’t defeat Boneshaker, he’ll never see home again. Let battle commence!
It’s looking ever more likely that the World Of Warriors Battle Fortress Playset is going to be the hottest toy of Christmas 2015.
Taking its design cues straight from the game app, the set consists of a series of buildings and towers, together with a game board and two exclusive warriors. Extra building elements can be added from two smaller sets, and the cannon ball launcher can be used to fire at the fortress walls.
By employing fire, water and earth elements, fans of the game can use their designated warriors to beat their opponents in exhilarating game play.

One of the nation’s biggest toy retailers has published never-before-seen images that show how some of the forthcoming World Of Warriors action figures will look in action.
All figures have a recommended retail price of £15 and are suitable for children aged 4-12. They each stand a whopping 25 cm tall and have various articulated joints that enable them to make some of their most ferocious moves, just like in the game.
Toy trade magazines and websites have begun the first part of what will be a massive marketing drive for the release of World Of Warriors toys in September.
Among the tools that will be used to promote the products to young fans are heavyweight TV advertising, a costume character tour, a viral video campaign and eye-catching free-stand display units in stores.
Hot on the heels of its huge success on iOS and Android game apps, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that the World of Warriors franchise is coming to their iconic PlayStation gaming console.
Their plans include developing the characters to take advantage of their superior processing capabilities as well as expanding the stories to create new adventures – and mayhem!
Sony’s collaboration with Mind Candy has been one of mutual trust and respect as well as sharing a vision of the future for this popular
franchise. This addition to the PlayStation portfolio is also designed to expand the appeal of World of Warriors to include an even broader range of players.
Scheduled for launch on 6th August, Puffin has confirmed that the first official World Of Warriors book will be called “A New Hero”. This is potentially just the first of many though, as author Curtis Jobling is expected a pen a whole series of novels as love for the franchise grows.
The official synopsis is: “On the run from class bullies, Trick finds himself transported to the mystical Wildlands, a place where the greatest warriors throughout history have been summoned to fight in a battle for survival – from Romans and Vikings to Knights and Samurai!”
